June 17, 2004The NEW YORK DOLLS played a one-off reunion gig on Wednesday (June 16) at London's Royal Festival Hall as part of this year's Meltdown Festival, according to Hits Daily Double. Original members David Johansen, Sylvain Sylvain and now-Mormon Arthur "Killer" Kane were joined by guitarist Steve Conte and LIBERTINES drummer Gary Powell, replacing the late Johnny Thunders and Jerry Nolan, who died in the early '90s from drugs and illness, respectively. The band's set list included originals like "Looking for A Kiss", "Jet Boy", "Trash" and "Frankenstein", finishing with "Personality Crisis" and "Human Being", which was greeted by a prolonged standing ovation.
